CPS 155

I've been busy...I also have a card today for the Card Positioning Systems sketch 155.

This card was made with my January Key Ingredients kit from Taylored Expressions, except for the cherries, For You stamp and ink.  The patterned paper if from Basis Grey's Nook and Pantry line.  The stamp is from Inkadinkadoo and the ink is black from CTMH.  I made the cherries from chipboard.  I colored them with copic markers e49 - dark bark and r27 - cadmium red.  I used a jelly roll pen to put the highlight on them and then covered the cherry part with glossy accents.  I put the white circle on foam squares.  I distressed the paper edges and used Tim Holtz's distress ink in tea dye.  The cherries are much shinier in person!

TESC Sketch 102

Here is my take on the Taylored Expressions Sketch 102.  I love this paper from Cosmo Cricket from the Early Bird 6x6 paper pad.  My Best Friend is a sticker from the same line, I place it on a piece of chipboard.  The off white card is from my stash and I used Tim Holtz's distress ink in tea dye.

(for some reason I cannot get the sketch picture from her blog to load here, sorry!)

Birthday Card and a foot of Snow today!

Here is a card I made today for a friend.  I used scraps, clip art, markers, & stamps from CTMH.

I stayed inside nice and warm, eating cookies and drinking cocoa, organizing my supplies and making this card while my hubby was out clearing out the snow.  We had about a foot of snow overnight.
Here are some photos, (from my front and back porch!).  Check out the path the snowblower left and you can see how deep it is.

From my back porch, before snow blower above and after, below.

Here is a shot from my front door.

Advent Calendars

These are Advent calendars I made in December for my daughter and my mom.  These are from Karen Foster.  The 1st one is paper from Basic Grey and the 2nd one's paper is Pink Paislee.  I used rub ons, stickles, gem, buttons, & pearls to decorate them.

Sewing Projects

Hey...I have a couple of things to share from a few weeks back.  My daughter wanted a big cushion/floor pillow and one to have in bed to read.  We found a pattern some time back and picked out fabric and I finally got around to completing these.  They were fairly easy to make, but took a lot, and I mean a lot, of stuffing.
this is the floor pillow, it made out of polar fleece, as is the reading pillow below.
Below are a couple of pillows made from fat quarters, they have a different fabric on the back (which I didn't take a picture of!)
