Layouts

These are layouts I got done at Crop for a Cure.

Ping Pong Battles is from when we were at the shore last August. They have mini golf, ping pong and shuffleboard at our motel.

Paper is from CTMH. Not sure who the chipboard embellishments are from.

I rarely keep the packaging stuff comes in anymore and just store all my like embellishments together so I don't always remember who the mfg is for something.

This is also from our vacation last August. In the pool at our motel. That's my daughter Amanda and I. My husband took the photos.

Paper and tags are from My Mind's Eye from several years ago. (I recently went thru all my scrapbook supplies and am trying to use things I bought then hoarded!) The title is a fabric sticker, and the turtles, fish, and seahorse are stickers from Penny Black, also from a while back. The brads are from my stash.

Layout of my daughter's sleepover for her birthday this year. Paper is from 3 bugs in a rug. Buttons are from my stash. Title letters are Thickers.

Paper is from My Mind's Eye, title is Thickers.

My son's 17th birthday. I take a picture of them when they wake up on their birthday and give them their gifts. Pictures didn't turn out so great, but I had to use what photos I did get 'cause what 17 year old guy wants to sit there for their mom to get just the right shot when they just woke up!
Paper and stickers are Little Yellow Bicycle, 17 is Thickers.

My daughter has so many flip flops that we decided to document them all this year.

Not sure who paper is from. Letter stickers are Pink Paislee.

Not sure whose paper this is either. Flower and gems are from my stash and title letters are Thickers.

Back to school layout - Amanda

This is my daughter Amanda on the first day of school this year. She is in 8th grade. The background paper and the pink papers are from My Mind's Eye. The scallop strip is a freebie from a crop I was at, Scrap Pink. The little letter stickers are from My Little Shoebox. The bird and dots are rub ons from ???

Back to school layout - Erik

This is my son Erik on the first day of school this year. He is a senior (already??). The background paper and the blue paper is from My Mind's Eye. The blue paper is punch with a new EK Success border punch. The title is made with Thickers (love these!) and the little letter stickers are from My Little Shoebox. The owl and curly cues are rub ons from ???.

CPS 136

This is my card for the CPS challenge. It's for Operation Write Home, that's why I used the Miss You stamp. The papers were all from my scrap stash so I don't know what mfg they are.

Pool Party Layout

This is a layout of my daughter's 13th birthday party. All supplies came in a kit I bought at the CK convention in Valley Forge last year. It was by K.I.S.S. I really liked the colors and the little orange butterfly...see the close up above.

Cards

I made these 2 cards with a sheet of pebbles stickers and paper. The letter stamps and black ink are CTMH. I rubbed glitter glaze on the big yellow flower. Cards are black bazzill.

Halloween decoration

My favorite holiday is Halloween. I love the colors and all the cool decorations and who doesn't love candy! Anyway, I have been going thru all my supplies of late and decided what I couldn't part with, I would actually try to use asap. The original store bought item is the black felt piece with Halloween and the wires on it. I think it was in a soft spoken pack from me and my big ideas, but I'm not sure. I inked a torn piece of corrugated cardboard black and glued the felt piece to that and then on a piece of chipboard that I had glued the purple piece of daisy d paper on. I glued on the button moon and pumpkin and punched holes in the top and threaded 3 ribbons thru. And there you have it...a cool little decoration I can hang up!

CPS 132

Here is my card for the sketch this week. Cardstock is bazzill, patterned papers are unknown (from my scrap pile), the larger butterfly stamp is inkadinkadoo, the bottom stamp is from a Scarlet Lime kit, ink is chocolate from CTMH, and the tiny pearls are from Kaiser in blush.

Framed Plexiglass Photos

The 1st one above is from a kit from Scarlet Lime. I pretty much made it the way it was pictured. It's a little messed up because I had a couple of problems with the adhesive I used to hold the frame to the plexiglass. Also, the plexiglass was not cut much larger than the frame so that contributed to my adhesive mess. Anyway, this is a school photo of my daughter, Amanda, from a few years ago. I really liked the concept so I had my husband buy me plexiglass at Lowe's, but cut it a little bit bigger :) - and I made one of my son, Erik, and a third one of our family (this is a picture of all of us in front of our little Christmas tree Dec 2008). I started with some small cuts of paper, layered towards the bottom, then added the photo, rub ons and gems. The first 2 have stickers and the last one has a big flower. There's a button on Amanda's in the upper right corner. I have them displayed together on easels. I really think they turned out kinda cool.

Plexiglass pictures and Thank you cards

First, let me apologize for the bad pictures. I was about to leave when I realized I didn't take picture of these and I wanted to so I plopped them on my kitchen table. I organized a Christmas in July crop for a group I am in, Berks County Scrappers. I have one is January and one in July. I have a couple of vendors, gifts for everyone, games and prizes. I like to make a little something for the vendors since I appreciate them coming out and setting up and all their work involved with that. The top one was for Melinda from http://www.scrapbooknsmiles.com/. Bottom left one was for Beth from http://www.itsscraptacular.com/, and the bottom right one was for Denise who is a CTMH consultant. I think it's hard to tell, but the background piece is plexiglass. One of the kits from Scarlet Lime had plexiglass and I loved working on it so I came up with these little pieces with the leftover pieces from other things I made (post on those to follow). Anyway, all the diecut pieces are from K&Co., the letters are Maya Road, sprayed with their mist, and lastly I added gems. My idea is to set them up on little easels. Melinda said you could add it to the front of an album.
For the thank you cards, the green scallop cards are from Stampin Up! and the owl stamps & branch are Craft Affair by Hampton Arts, the thank you is from CTMH as is the ink.

Picture Frame

This is a picture frame I decorated as a gift. The frame was plain white I ordered from the scrapbooking catalog from Oriental Trading as also was the velvet ribbons. I am not sure what companies the papers are from. The flowers are chipboard from Fancy Pants that I sprayed with paint/inks from Maya Road. I added little pieces of papers to the centers and then used glossy accents. I might add my great nieces initals to the bottom in painted chipboard yet.

Cards

These are some cards I recently made. The first card says "so sweet". It's made with Pink Paislee papers (I hand cut out the popsicles), Making Memories letter stickers and some buttons from Scarlet Lime.
The second card is made with Scenic Route papers and die cuts, American Crafts felt flowers and Prima red flower rhinestones. It says "life is sweet" and that's a stamp from Pink Paislee.

Cork Layout of Keira

This is a layout of my great niece, Keira. The background is a piece of cork. The idea and supplies are from a monthly kit club I am in called Scarlet Lime.

Recipe Layout for Swap

This is also for a swap with the Berks County Scrappers. A recipe swap on 8 1/2 x 11 inch size page. It's typed on yellow cardstock and the bottom papers are scraps from a Scarlet Lime kit, the green is felt ribbon from Making Memories (I think), the rub on along the left is from Daisy D's, and the yellow butterflies are from Heide Swapp. The little green dots on the butterflies are from K & Co. The recipe is for Breakfast Bake. I found the recipe in the Kraft Foods magazine I get in the mail.

Card Swap Cards

These cards I made for a swap I am in with the Berks County Scrappers.
The papers are all from Scenic Route, some scraps of cardstock I cut with punches (the new border punches from ek success), felt flowers from American Crafts, assorted brads and buttons, and the Hello! stamp is from CTMH.

First Day

Hello! I am just joining the world of blogging. I will start off with a little info on myself and what I would like my blog to be about. I have been crafting for as long as I can remember. I started sewing at a young age with my mom and then learned to crochet (badly), and then onto cross stitch. Now I am into scrapbooking, card making and stamping. I still enjoy sewing, but don't do it as much. I love all the beautiful patterned papers and embellishments out there and have learned, I don't NEED to buy everything. I also like to make home dec items and lots of gifts for family and friends. I want to show on here what I create so: a) I can share it with you and b) I have a picture of it before it leaves me :)

I have to get some stuff photographed and will post it on here soon.
